Taib Mahmud terus menunjukkan Kuasanya..

Nampaknya dendam atau geram kerana kalah di Sibu Taib Mahmud terhadap ADUN – ADUN Pakatan Rakyat masih belum reda. Setelah menafikan hak mereka sebagai ADUN dengan bertindak menggantung mereka dari menghadiri Sidang DUN, Taib Mahmud melalui Speaker DUN Sarawak Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar bertindak menghalang mereka dari menghampiri Dewan pula..

Dominique Ng, ADUN Padungan dari PKR yang telah digantung dari menghadiri sidang dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak hari ini mendakwa beliau telah dihalang dari menghampiri bangunan Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak.

Menurut Dominique beliau bersama 5 ahli PKR yang menemaninya telah ditahan kira-kira 1 Km dari Bangunan DUN Sarawak dalam satu sekatan jalanraya yang diadakan oleh pihak polis.

Tambah beliau lagi, beliau hanya mahu menyaksikan perjalanan Sidang dari Galeri Awam dan tidak berniat untuk hadir sebagai ADUN Padungan.

Galeri Awam adalah tempat yang sentiasa dibuka untuk orang awam bagi menyaksikan persidangan atau perbahasan Dewan Undangan Negeri.Dengan menghalang Dominique dari menghampiri dan memasuki Galeri Awam, Taib Mahmud telah menafikan hak Dominique sebagai Rakyat Sarawak dan Malaysia amnya...

Suspended PKR rep barred from Sarawak assembly hall

May 20, 2010KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 — A minor scuffle broke out between police and suspended PKR assemblyman Dominique Ng this morning, when he attempted to enter the Sarawak state assembly building.

Ng, who was accompanied by five other PKR members, was blocked when they encountered a road block about 1km away from the assembly building at about 10am this morning.

“They (the police) manhandled me and told me I was not allowed to go any further. This is wrong of them,” he told The Malaysian Insider this afternoon.

He said he had only intended to observe the proceedings from the public gallery and had no intention of participating as the Padungan assemblyman.

“The public gallery is always open to the public! I also wanted to collect a copy of the Hansard, which is my copy to begin with,” he said.

On Tuesday, Ng and fellow Pakatan Rakyat assemblyman, Chong Chieng Jen (DAP-Kota Sentosa), were suspended from the legislative assembly for a year over offensive remarks they had made during last year’s May sitting.

They were suspended with immediate effect after losing a motion to adopt the suspension recommendations made by the assembly’s Rights and Privileges Committee.

“I am aware of my suspension and I had no intention to breach those rules. Still, I should not have been stopped from even entering the precinct of the assembly.

“The suspension should not be extended to a point that it suspends even my constitutional right as an ordinary citizen of Sarawak and Malaysia,” he said.

He claimed that the police manning the roadblock, which was “unprecedented” in the first place, had told him they were acting on the orders of Sarawak Speaker, Datuk Seri Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar.

“They even refused to check with the Speaker if they were mistaken on their instructions,” he said, adding that he was at first manhandled but managed to stop the police from going further when he threatened that he would file assault charges against them if they did.

Ng said that, after being refused entry, he lodged a report against the Speaker at the police station.

“I believe the Speaker’s action of stopping me from entering the assembly hall’s public gallery was a clear infringement of the Sarawak and Federal Constitution as it blocks my constitutional right,” he said.

Ng added that he would try again to enter the assembly hall today.
